Chapter 12 - Bangkok

Factions: Yakuza versus Triads

As you complete certain jobs and win fights against rival faction members in Bangkok, you’ll earn increased respect from the faction you help out. Earn enough reputation (up to 1500), and you’ll unlock special items that can be purchased in the Faction Store. There are six reputation thresholds: Hostile, Suspicious, Neutral, Trusted, Honored and Allied. Each time you side with one faction, your reputation with that faction goes up 3 points while your reputation with the opposing faction declines by 1 point. Drop below a certain level and that faction may cut off access to items in the store.

Preferred strategy to maximize alliances with both Yakuza and Triads is to earn 1,500 reputation points with one faction first and then start to earn reputation points with the opposing faction later. Assisting one faction will give you +3 reputation points and -1 reputation points with the opposing faction. However, you can never have a negative reputation situation so this strategy will save you the loss of at least 500 reputation points.

Bangkok Businesses:

Each business can be purchased once and produces crates of a particular product every 3 hours. Once the crates are produced, they will be stored in your warehouse, ready to be sold for a profit.

Your businesses can be upgraded in the following ways:

  • Quality (5 levels) – your business will produce a higher quality product every three hours, allowing you to sell each crate for more pesos; quality upgrades cost twice as much as quantity and capacity upgrades.
  • Capacity (10 levels) – your business can store a larger quantity of crates in the warehouse.
  • Output (10 levels) – your business will produce more crates every 3 hours.

Bangkok Episodes

After completing the first level of mastery on Episode 4, players will have access to both Episodes 5A and 5B, assuming they have the faction. Episode 5A requires Trusted with the Triads, and Episode 5B requires Trusted with the Yakuza.
